Miss Sullivan County and Miss Kingsport
Winners of the Miss Sullivan County and Miss Kingsport Pageant. Jeanette Conkin (left), a graduate of Sullivan High School, was crowned Miss Sullivan County. Louise Slaughter (right), a graduate of Dobyns-Bennett, was crowned Miss Kingsport. Jeanette Conkin’s talent was a pantomime to Betty Hutton’s recording of “Stuff Like That There.” Louise Slaughter played Greig’s Norwegian Concerto in A Minor, a piano solo, as her talent.
